Again. …and Again. …and Again.

Earlier this week an aggrieved – and obviously disturbed – man murdered five innocent people at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis Maryland. Capital Gazette reporter Phil Davis posted this message online, shortly after the attack:

“There is nothing more terrifying than hearing multiple people get shot while you’re under your desk and then hear the gunman reload.”

When will the citizens of this country wake up and realize the so-called “gun culture” infecting our nation needs to be excised like the cancer it is?

We’ve already heard the weak, half-hearted platitudes from the president*, along with an equally insincere chorus of “our prayers are with the victim’s families”, but until Congress drafts – and then has the backbone to enact – practical, reasonable and comprehensive gun control legislation, we’re going to see more headlines like the ones we saw earlier this week.
