Expired Sessions

OK, so who doesn’t think Jefferson Beauregard “Jeff” Sessions III lied his ass off?

This racist piece of sh*t is so ridiculously compromised he shouldn’t be allowed to hold a county clerk’s position let alone the position of Attorney General of the United States.

Thanks to the Washington Post article published on Wednesday, we’re learning more about meetings between Mr. Sessions and the Russian ambassador, (a fellow named Sergey Kislyak), before the inauguration.

Sure, go ahead and give Sessions’ so-called ‘testimony’ a listen, then pause and reflect on your answer to my question – anybody left in the “…oh, no way Jeffy was lyin’…” camp?

No, I didn’t think so.

According to a New York Times article published earlier today:

At his confirmation hearing, Mr. Sessions said he “did not have communications with the Russians” during the presidential campaign. But the Justice Department now acknowledges that Mr. Sessions twice communicated with Mr. Kislyak last year: once after a speech at the Republican National Convention and once at his office.

Oh, I see, now the acknowledgement is being made… …got it!

The article goes on to state:

In the House, Democrats on the Judiciary Committee demanded an immediate criminal investigation into Mr. Sessions in a letter to James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director, and Channing D. Phillips, the United States attorney for Washington.

I think we’ve hit the expiration date on Mr. Sessions’ time as Attorney General. He has compromised himself, his office, the Department of Justice and arguably the entire country. …and magnanimously declaring he’s going to recuse himself from direct involvement in specific investigations is entirely insufficient. Do you really think Mr. Sessions won’t exert undue influence over his staff? …maybe over the prosecutors responsible for getting to the bottom of Russian interference in the 2016 elections?

C’mon Congress, get to it! When something – or someone – reaches their expiration date, you gotta just throw it – or, in this case, them – out!
