Hey, sorry folks, it’s been a busy couple of weeks…
Ah, yes, the 2016 Summer Olympics. I needed to pause and reflect – just a little – before deciding the imbecile known as Ryan Lochte deserved a belated rant from yours truly. Wow, what an idiot. He’s got what, maybe an IQ of 40, 45? The video clips of this mouth breather are embarrassing – certainly for him, for the U.S. swimming team and yes, even for me, as an American citizen.
I do have to admit I was pleased to read/hear several of his corporate sponsors decided to drop him like a dirty sock after his bad behavior was splashed, (sorry, I couldn’t resist), across pretty much any – and every – media outlet covering the Olympics, but to be honest, why were these companies compensating this clown in the first place? Was there any due diligence conducted prior to inking a sponsorship deal with this doofus? Apparently, Mr. Lochte has a history of behaving in a similar fashion, so his drunken escapades in Rio weren’t a one-off, which begs the question.
Is the need to associate oneself – corporate entities and desperate, clingy humans alike – with a ‘winner’ so important, so overwhelmingly essential, that one enthusiastically chooses to ignore blatant character flaws of said ‘winner’ from the onset? Is it because getting some of that all-important “winner mojo” to rub off on your pathetic little brand, (or your pathetic little self), what it’s all about? If so, I pity you, I really do.
In fact, let’s lump Hope Solo in with Mr. Lochte – her behavior is equally disappointing…
Oh, yeah, almost forgot – Ryan Lochte gets a >:\ >:\ >:\ rating for the stunt he, (and his compatriots), attempted to pull in Rio, and Ms. Solo gets a >:\ >:\ >:\ rating for her disgraceful display of poor sportsmanship. Ugly. Unfortunately, all too American.
Movin’ on…
